What a slacker I've become! It's been wild and crazy not to mention I've been lazy! I take so many pictures every chance I get that I know it gets repetative seeing my kids over and over again! So I've just been posting certain pictures on myspace. It's a lot easier than this and faster. Anyway, here's a little update on the Scott Family.

December 12

Angelina's 16th Birthday! CRAZINESS! I can't believe she's 16 already! Her mom threw her a Sweet 16 Party at their house and made a ton of food! She had a lot of her friends over and had a really good time. We all did!

Another update on her, she's working at a shoe store in the Galleria Mall and loves it. She's always trying to make the highest sales! She's made a lot of new friends and is hanging out with normal kids again!

December 17

SNOW in Vegas!! Yes it did! It started at about 11:30 - just small flurries and then never stopped and the snowflakes kept getting bigger and bigger!! It was a little scary to drive in but once we were all home the kids built a snowman...well part of one. They finished it the next day. The snow stuck for almost a week. Christmas morning we still had a little bit in the driveway from the snowman. I can't say I'd like to live with snow all the time though, the melting process is dirty and wet and slippery! Didn't like that so much!

December 19

We packed up the family and headed out to Rancho Cucamonga to visit our good friends the Wicker's. We got there around 5 that night. The drive out there was fun because there was snow on the mountains the entire way!

That Saturday Brett's parents had their annual Christmas Party so we headed to Oak Hill. They had about 3ft of snow!! Cherish drove up there and it was a slippery and dirty ride! But we made it! We had a blast at the party as did the kids. We all sang a little karaoke which was entertaining!

December 21

My Dad flew into Ontario to surprise the kids with a trip to Disneyland for Christmas. I picked him up around 10 and took him back to Cherish's where the girls saw him and were excited. He told them where we were headed and got even more excited. We got a little lost along the way...yes Cherish, you did tell me to take the SECOND Chapman exit but I freaked out and didn't see another one so exited the first and got so lost! We lost about an hour! When we finally headed the right way we checked into our hotel and spent the rest of the day in Disney. It was a very nice day and we had a ton of fun!

The next day we went to CA Adventure which none of us have ever been to. That was a blast! No lines and no crowds!

All in all it was the best Disney trip I've had. I'm glad I got to be there for my Dad's first time and that we all got to spend time together!

Christmas

Our Christmas was pretty quiet this year. We only bought for kids so they were spoiled. Christmas Eve we went to church. Christmas morning we had Brunch with the Scott's and then that night we had Dinner with the Leonardo's. By dinner we had the WII busted out so we had a couple of bowling tournaments! That was fun!

I'll get to posting some of those pictures later!

Ones I did want to post today though are of my baby girl and her new accessory! She got her ears pierced as a gift for Christmas! She was SO brave and didn't make a peep when they were done and she hasn't cried since. They're healing very nicely and she loves being a princess!!

Rrrrrg - these pictures are all mixed up...darn BLOG!

We spent Halloween at my sister's. She had a couple of friends over as did we. We did it up potluck style and had a great time! The kids passed out candy when they were home and then did a little trick or treating.

After trick or treating they passed out candy...my girl was SO over being Hannah she took the wig off...so it didn't even look like she dressed up.

Movie Night

After carving pumkins it was time for movie night since Halloween fell on Friday and we usually have it that night. We popped some Jiffy, the girls got a little treat and we watched The Trouble w/ Angels. It's an older movie but was recommended by my boss and the girls LOVED it. They watched it ALL weekend long.

Since times are tough and movies are outragously expensive we choose to have movie night at least once a week at our house. I stock up on the Jiffy Pop and make sure the girls get a little something sweet to go with it. It's well spent time together and it's tons of fun! We're renting all of the old movies we used to watch as kids and our kids love them all. It's amazing to see how it was so easy to make a movie back in the day...and how simple the movies were. Anyway, if you've got time - we highly recommend it!

Pumpkin Carving

We carved pumpkins the night before Halloween with the girls. I did my with Lo and T did his w/ H. The pictures are out of order but whatever!! And I'm a little late posting but whatever!

Trunk or Treat 2008

The girl's daycare Kiddie Academy has a trunk or treat every year and we decided to give a try this year. And we're glad we did! The girl's had a blast and got to hang out with their friends and of course...go trunk to trunk to get some candy.

They had decided they were going to be Hannah Montana and Miley Cyrus this year but I thought trying to get Lo to look like Miley would be tough and no one would know what she was so we went with Cinderella instead. She got the dress for her birthday from our neighbors and it worked perfect and saved us some $$! =)

After Trunk or Treat we had plans to go out so my sister took the kids. They got a free room at the Bellagio that night so we had to drop the kids off there. They have a garden that they change with the season's so it was all decked out for the fall. If you look close enough, the tree behind them has a face in it and he talks!

Sat night we hung out at my sister's and we ate, decorated for Halloween then sang some karaoke. It was a great time!

The girls were running around hiding from each other, practicing knocking for treats and just being dorks.

They sang the Ariel song again, this time with music. I'll upload the videos for the fill effect.
The thing that brought karaoke on was Lo asking her daddy if he was ok. He told her, yeah, I just have heartburn. To go back a couple of days, when I recorded her a week ago singing, I told her she had melted my heart. So back to the heartburn, she said, ok Daddy, I'll fix it. Then she started singing!!!!!! When she was done she said did I melt your heart Daddy? Is it better? OHHHHHHHHHHHH Myyyyyyyyy, so cute!!
So if anyone wants the live version of her singing, just tell her you have heartburn and she'll cure it with her song!!

Octoberfest at Gehring

Friday night we took the girls to H's school for their annual Octoberfest.

We had a dinner of brauts, pretzels and root beer in the courtyard then headed off to the different stations to do some projects.

After wreath making they made bookmarks. It was movie night on Friday so we bought some baked goods then headed home to watch Splash.

My in laws are SO awesome!! They rented a house in Cayucos for a week and invited us to come out and stay with them for a few days. Cayucos is about 25 miles away from San Luis Obispo and 10 miles or so from San Simean (sp) where Hearst Castle is. They rented the house for a week and we went down last Wed thru Sat night. We flew and T&T drove and got there Thursday before noon.

Thursday we drove to Solvang, a little Danish town. It was about 90 miles from where we were. So we had lunch there and then walked around to check out the shops. I found the candy shop and got my favorite Danish licorice! That night the four of us - minus parents - went to the Farmers Market in downtown San Luis Obispo. They have it every Thursday night except for Thanksgiving. It was SO awesome. Tons of fresh fruit, food, freshly roasted corn on the cob - YUM!!! Three of us did a little wine tasting in a little shop which was a first for all of us!

Friday the kids (us) all went to Hearst Castle. We stopped in Cambria to have breakfast on the way there. After breakfast we headed to the castle and did the tour. I took a TON of pictures but didn't post them because there are so many. I'll post my favorites at some point. After that we headed back to San Luis to pick Mom up and went to the Madonna Inn for a late light lunch. We had to go there to experience the bathrooms and the place itself. I bought a bottle of wine from there so I don't know that I'll ever drink it! On the way home from there we stopped at Vons and bought steaks to make for dinner that night. I BBQ'd, or tried at least.

Then Saturday we woke up, went to breakfast with Dad in Morro Bay. Dropped him off after and the four of us drove into San Luis to walk around the same area that the Farmers Market was. We did a little shopping, had lunch at Taco Bell and on the way back got a flat in Mom's Lexus!! The guys changed the tire and when we got back Dad took it to a tire shop to get the tire replaced. We were going to go back to Morro Bay for their Farmers Market but instead we stayed at the house. T and I went down the hill in Cayucos and checked out the shops and beach. T&T left around 5 and we headed to the airport at 7.

We had such a great time - even though most people would think...really, with your in laws???? But we did. I just have to say thank you from all of us to them. Mom and Dad, you guys are awesome. Thank you for sharing your vacation with us and showing us around. We love you!!!

It was picture day today and I curled her hair for it. We were in a rush because I had to get ready too...well, the curling iron slipped and got her in the face. It got her on her left eye. I feel SO BAD!!!!! Now I'll never forget her 2nd grade pictures. And her hair didn't even hold the curl! I should have went with my instinct and pulled the small curler out...sheesh.

K, well maybe he's a dog but still. He's a part of the family now. Cyn and Ton have a new addition to their family - his name is...ready for this...Pablo Escobar. I have to admit, I couldn't get used to his name and told her I'd only call him Wablo. Well, after meeting him he fits his name for some reason. He's so tiny and so cute!!!

Lo has skipped a room at her daycare which is great because she's doing so well and she's so mature! BUT, the new room she's in is filled with older kids and they don't have nap time. In the class she was in before she never napped but always had that quiet time to lay in her cot. And then on the four days she was at home she'd nap at least 3 hours. NOW, she's decided she doesn't need them anymore. This past weekend I went through our normal routine even though she said she didn't want to sleep...and an hour later I check on her and she's awake in her room singing or talking. I ask her if she's slept, her answer is "I'll sleep tomorrow K Mom?" I did it all three days last weekend and she didn't nap once. And the answer I always got when I asked her why is always the same..."I'll sleep tomorrow". Great...there go my quiet afternoons! Boo hoo!

Boy's fishing trip

Last Thursday my husband, dad and two brother in law's decided they needed some manly time together so they planned a fishing trip out to Pine Valley, UT.

We had gone out there a couple of months ago to camp and fish and had a blast so T wanted to show off the area because it's SO pretty!

So after the fished they headed back to camp and it poured down rain. They cooked their dinner in a huddle, ate in their tents and tried to wait out the rain but it was relentless and they were soaked. So instead of looking at each other all night in the tent - they came home that night. Some would call them wussies, I say otherwise. I didn't have to sleep alone and everyone got home safe!

Chels set up a little surprise get together for her man's b-day at Gordon Biersch. It was nice to get out without the kids! It's been awhile that we've both gone out so it was a good time.

A visit from our Rancho Cucamonga friends

Our friends came for a visit this past weekend. We know them through some people we used to know, we don't talk to those people anymore...the one good thing that came out of that friendship was this friendship. Anyway, it was the first time the whole family came so we were all excited. Especially my girls, they couldn't wait to have another 3 year old to play with!

They got in late afternoon Friday and we all went to I Love Sushi for dinner. Saturday we went to Town Square and Saturday night we BBQ'd at our house.

Labor Day Weekend 08

She's in second grade now! Time goes by SO fast! She was excited for her first day of school.

A surprise for my hubby

So I had a little surprise in store for my man Sat night. I told him not to eat too much during the day - and he guessed where we were going. Brat. But he didn't know who with or what the other part of the surprise was! We dropped the kids off with my sister and headed out!

Sippin on a new cocktail I invented before dinner...a lime drop instead of lemon! SO GOOD! I rimmed it with sugar and salt...yum!
We were testing out a camera that my FIL gave us...I love it so far!

We went to dinner at the Melting Pot - I got two gift certificates for my birthday - it was our first time and SO good! Here I'm giving him the start of the surprise...a Jason Mraz CD.
He had to open it to find the real surprise - tickets to see Jason Mraz in November at the PEARL! Yippee!
He loved my surprise - even though about an hour before he was ready to throw in the towel and stay home...he hates surprises!

The Y's joined us for dinner and will join us at the concert too! So are the Esse's. And they're the ones I got the gift certificates from - thanks for dinner guys!
Eating - I'm already craving it again it was SO good!

Poison Aug 22,08

Cyn and I needed a hair band fix and what better way to get it than with Sebastian Bach from Skid Row, Dokken and POISON!!

The show was at the Pearl in the Palms - we saw them there almost a year ago to date but we were on the floor last time and a little tipsy. This time we got seats, even they were a row in front of the last row...the views from the place are awesome no matter where you are. Check out the pics I took - there are MANY more but I only uploaded the good ones!

Cyn and I planned it all out perfectly and had a great time. We didn't miss a minute of the show and neither of us got out of control - which we tend to do when we're in a bigger crowd. It was a great concert and a great night spent with my BFF. We both screamed along to the songs and had scratchy throats when we left but it was worth it. They always sound so good live.

Fishing trip...

So T's going on a fishing trip with the guys in September and he needed a hat so it HAD to be from Bass Pro Shops. We took the girls with us so Lo could see the fish tank in the Silverton. Maybe she'll be a marine biologist when she grows up - she loves fish!

A visit from an old friend

Sum Sum!!

We haven't seen each other in about 11 years so we caught up a little over a week ago. Sum came over for dinner and some wine and we got to talk about old times! She lives in Texas with her husband who is stationed there for the Army. (That sounded weird but you know what I mean)

Anyway, it was so good to see her. I'd like to thank Classmates.com for getting us back in touch and MySpace for helping us to STAY in touch! ;)

7th B-Day Celebration

A much needed night out!

After being on vacation with the kids and then coming back and only having two days off from them and then being with them 3 days while T worked...I'd had enough! The girls fight SO much and I think it's because Heather's on summer break. When she's in school they don't see eachother till after Logan's nap at 5. Anyway, my awesome hubby let me go out with my friends for a few drinks. I went with some friends to the Icehouse downtown to watch some bands play. I do have to admit when we got there we felt old and realized we ARE too old for that scene anymore. But it was fun anyway!

Family Reunion 2008

Every two years my MIL has a family reunion with her 11 brothers and sisters. And of course Grammy K and Roy. This year it was in Tiskalwa, IL. It lasts about 3 and a half days and is always planned out so well. There are a ton of pictures...so sit back, relax and enjoy!

I tried to fit Gizmo in the suitcase but it didn't work. =(

We landed in Peoria and drove about an hour to Tiskalwa. The windmills are so cool! And that's soy growing there.

We stayed in Camp Meno Haven. The K's helped build the camp and my MIL was the camp director at one point. The rooms had bunk beds for the kids...life saver!
Lo tried to talk me into letting her sleep with her sissy but that got old pretty quick when they didn't sleep!

The brothers got up at 5:30 to fish. That's all my man talked about and he was so excited to do it!

Frog - toad, what's the difference? All I know is that was another thing my man was looking forward to. Catching anything that moved! He caught a snapping turtle as soon as we got to the camp and it got away...karma. That's what he gets for leaving me to carry the 3 50lb bags to the room so he could catch a turtle. (he was in TROUBLE)

D's always got surprises for the kids and this year he said he had a great one! Last reunion he found a turtle in the road...this year he brought baby raccoons! Him and his girlfriend are nurturing them back to health - a boy and girl - they lost their mom so they're getting them healthy and then going to set them free at about 12 weeks. They're 5 weeks here.
They're so sweet and cuddly - but soon they're going to have to get them used to the wild and start being mean to them (D explains it better than me!)

Logan did so good in the woods! And she never got bit! I did...on my BUM!!! I guess the bugs showed me that wearing mesh shorts aren't going to stop them from munching on my skin. And apparently I'm allergic...I had an extra bum for a couple of days from swollen bug bites.

This was the worst hike I've EVER been on! Mosquitos, daddy long legs...all over the place and eating my face! Gross!
Tiskalwa has Pow Wow days every year and there was a beer fest. Little did we know that their meaning of beer fest was Miller, Budweiser and Coors! Oh well!

We all had a great time and it's always nice to take a family vacation. Thanks Mom and Dad for sharing where you grew up with us. It's so interesting to see stuff like that. And we're really glad we got to meet the rest of your family Dad. (we as in the girls and I)

I didn't take pictures but Grammy K had some stuff that she wanted everyone in the family to go through at her house and take. I got to see the china she gave to us for the first time and am so excited to get it! I took a pie spatula, a whisk, a bag of matches from all over the place, some crosses, a Christmas apron and a quilt that she made in 1940! Thanks Grammy K for letting us take things to remember you!

We look forward to the next reunion in two years!

Pine Valley, UT Camping Trip

My hubby planned this camping trip with some friends that he works with. They suggested Pine Valley for it's beauty, fishing and trees. I was hesitant but of course I wanted to go. The only condition was that there would be NO SNAKES. So everyone told me they don't have snakes...for months they said this. Then on the day we were leaving all I hear are sarcastic remarks about how there are no snakes. I'm sure my man told everyone to lie so I'd agree to go. Whatever!! I had a great time and so did our girls! The only bad part was sleeping on the hard ground - even though we brought a feather mattress. Everything else was great! I loved it and can't wait to do it again. We left Friday around noon and stayed till about 2 Saturday. It was nice to get out of the Vegas heat and cool off!

There were horses everywhere but this was my favorite. Such a pretty color!

When we got back to camp that night we all made Smore's - yum! And then the clouds came rollin' in, the lightning crack and thunder rolled! It was perfect timing, we'd just all finished our desserts when it started pouring so we all got in our tents and stayed in for the rest of the night.

The next morning we headed back to the lake to fish. It was her first time and the first good cast she had she caught a fish!! Great job baby! That afternoon we went to another lake with different fish in it and she caught two blue gills there!

We all didn't sleep very well and got up at the crack of dawn - so on the way to St. George the girls passed out! We stopped in St. George and ate at Cracker Barrel - YUM!! Then we headed home - Daddy and Big Sissy fell asleep on the way home - Baby Sis was a trooper and stayed awake with Mommy!

I think I did really well for my first adult/mother camping trip. The girls loved it so we'll definately be doing it again. Next time we'll be a little more prepared!

Saturday the 5th we went to Jacq's house for a Birthday BBQ to celebrate her birthday. Her mother in law made all of the food and decorated the house for her. We had a great time!

This was actually after the BBQ, we also had a UFC fight at our house that night. She got this for her b-day from our neighbors. Now she's Cinderalla AND Ariel!

We spent the morning of with Megan and Dave. We went to look at some model homes (that we can't afford!) and then had lunch at Fado's. After lunch we came home and they had a gift for Logan. She immediately put it in and didn't part with it even during her nap!

That night we went to our brother's house for a BBQ and some fireworks!

Family Dinner Night

We've made Thursday a traditional family dinner night with my Dad so we can make sure we get to spend time with him and he gets to see the grandkids at least once a week. This was the Thursday before the 4th and we all went to my sister's house. We try to take turns hosting so we're visiting everyone's house! Logan's first haircut

Logan's been waking up in the morning with a RAT'S nest on her head and when she woke up this morning it was the worst! It's just been getting harder and harder to get the knots out and I knew in my gut it's because she's NEVER had a haircut and that her baby hair at the bottom is dried out. Well crap, it's only been THREE YEARS!! So I did it tonight. I had Trent "flip" it and I took an after picture. I almost cried. I don't know why, it's just hair. But it's sentimental to me. Look in random drawers in my house - if you dare - and you'll find hair that's been cut off and put in a pony tail. Oh yeah, I have one, Heather's got one and now Logan. Too bad Trent dumped me when he chopped his blond lockes off...I would have had his too!!

Anyway, she looks cuter than ever and I'll post pictures later. It takes too long to download from home.

She spent the day at daycare but got to wear her princess dress and took princess cupcakes to share with her class. When she got home from daycare I had the house decorated for her. We just had a small party for her with family and had pizza and cake. Nice and simple while I can! Next year she'll know the difference. Now it's all about the decorations! She had a great time...see for yourself!

We LOVE WALL'E!!

We took the girls to Town Square last night for dinner at Brio Tuscan Grille then went and saw this movie. It was so good!! I laughed so hard and the girls loved it. If you haven't seen it we'd all recommend it!

Friday night I cooked and the neighbors came over with their boys. And Saturday they had a party to watch the soccer game. It started at 11:30 - we went over there for a little while and the girls played while their boys napped. Then they got in the pool - which felt great! If only I was comfortable enough with my body I would have gotten in. Unfortunately I have the Leonardo genes (no offense to my Leonardo Family!) we're hot in the face but not the ass! LOL! Anyway, Chris had bought a beer pong float for the pool so once that started I took Logan home for her nap and Trent took Heather to the Wild Kingdom Pet store. And then Sat night Tony and Tabitha came over to watch the UFC fight and I bbq'd some hot dogs and hamburgers. We were supposed to watch Giant with James Dean but moved that to another night.

We had another busy and hot week! It's been over 110 lately! Ugh! I'm already over the heat and stickyness and sweating! I so want a pool in our backyard.

So Wednesday night Chelsea and Jesse had a housewarming party at their new house. They used to live around the corner from us and have moved out to North Las Vegas! It took 20-30 minutes to get there but they got a really great deal on a great house and it's closer to her Mom which is important. We had a great time and you did a great job hosting Chelsea! Oh, and thanks for having Naked Guy Neighbor over. That was the highlight of the night - for me anyway!

My sister and Angelina came over that night to watch the girls. My sister cooked and our Dad came over to eat. Thanks for leaving leftovers Sis! They were awesome and I'm sorry we had to miss out on our weekly dinner with Dad.

Thursday I got to go on a field trip with Heather. It was my first school event that I've done since Heather's been in school. And I got to go because Angelina stayed the night Wed and could stay with Logan Thurs while I went. Thanks baby! We went to the Natural History Museum - which I didn't even know we had!! It was a good time and Heather was so excited the whole time that I was there. It made me feel really good!

I keep forgetting I have to upload the pictures before I type so it's going to be all wacked....rrrgggg blogger!!!

The older you get the faster time flies. At least that's how I've been feeling lately. Logan's going to be three on the 30th and it's just crazy to me. It seems like she was just a little baby. Trent made these laminated book marks with the girl's pictures on it and the pictures are from when they were both little. I look at them at night before we go to bed and think - should we have another???? I miss the baby stages at times and although it seems like they're babies forever - it's really not long at all. Heather started walking at 9 months and Logan at 10 months. They both started talking really early too and haven't shut up since. Those who know me know that I LOVE babies - the way they smell, look, feel...ugh, I just want to squeeze them. And none of my friends have bothered to have any so I haven't gotten a baby fix in awhile! =)

Then I have to think - both of mine had colic and I don't really have the convenience of family to watch them anymore. My Mom watched Heather till she passed away and my MIL and Dad watched Logan till she was about 18 months old or so. My MIL works more than I do now and my Dad would only be able to watch a baby once a week. And daycare is out of the question. #1 it's expensive and #2 I've just never felt secure and I would worry all day long that my kid isn't getting the attention it needs. I'm a bit of a control freak for those who don't know ;).

So, what do I do? I think I'll leave it up to "Everything happens for a reason" and see what happens. And maybe in the meantime someone close to me will have a baby so I can get my fix and give it back!! Happy mating my friends!!

Back to Logan - I can't believe she'll be three soon. She's grown up so fast and she's so dang CUTE! I'm trying to absorb all the cute things she does and says because they will soon go away and she'll be telling me to get out of her room! Luckily that hasn't happened with Heather yet but I'm sure it's coming! Speaking of Heather - that girl...such a smarty pants and so gorgeous. I can't believe she's going to be 7! She's so tall, up to my armpits already!! By the time she turns 10 I think she'll be taller than me! She already thinks she's the boss - man we're in for it!!

Don't let time fly by - cherish each moment you have with your kids, your family and your friends. Tell them you love them and hugs are always good! (Right Dave!)

Happy Father's Day!

Happy Father's Day to all the Dad's out there! I hope everyone is having a wonderful day!

I unfortunately have to work but Trent gets to spend the day with our girls. Heather made him a cute little card at school that she gave him this morning and Logan's gift from daycare is still at school. My Dad went camping this weekend is AZ with my sister and her family. Oh, and Angelina's boyfriend... :p I talked to him yesterday and he said he was having fun relaxing. Everyone else was complaining of the lack of showers, toilets and too many bugs. They should be on their way home right now. We watched their dogs for them and here are some pics of them below...

Saturday morning we took the kids on another hike. This time to Lee Canyon which is about 11 miles past Mt. Charleston. It was nice and cool - 70 degrees! This was our first stop - it was a meadow and we hiked up a hill and found this enormous tree!

Logan was a little whiney this time around - she went to sleep late because we had company over late Friday. But all in all she had fun!

That's a better shot. I think I've skiied this once, I don't remember if it was here or Brianhead. I haven't been since I was 18 or 19 and I never drove, just went along for the ride - so I don't remember.

This was the Bristlecone trail - it was 6 miles long so we only did about a mile.

After we left Lee Canyon we went to Mt. Charleston to find a place to sit and have a picnic. We sat under some trees and it was raining furry things...weird. They were floating around everywhere and we never could figure out where they came from...they just fell from the sky.

Saturday night we went and watched Tony and Kane at the King of Las Vegas BMX races. It was our first one and it was fun! Tony came in second the three times we saw him race and Kane came in first!! The girls had a good time too. Here are some shots of the race...

Logan came up to me after this picture and said she had to pee - well there were only out houses and she didn't quite understand when we were standing in line what we were doing - I said that's the potty. So when it came her turn - there was some drunk guy standing there waiting who tried to cut - I held my nose and put some toilet paper down for her to sit on and she sat down and said, I'm all better Mommy. She didn't pee! I don't blame her! We stayed about another hour after that and she waited until we got home which was another 20 minute or so drive!! She's a trooper!
We left when the first band "The Pink Panties" were almost done with their set and Tony still had a couple more races after that. I think Kane did too. Anyway, I'm not sure what places they ended up in but I'm sure they did well!! Thanks for inviting us guys!

To all my true friends

In the last blog it may have sounded like I want that ex friend back in my life...I don't!!! I would be miserable and it would make all of my true and awesome friends miserable. I wouldn't do that to any of you!! I don't need people with bad attitudes and crappy personalities that can't get along with or handle being around my friends.

I have all the friends I need in my life...she will never be one of them.

Cherish has me thinking...

I just read my friend Cherish's blog about a mutual "friend" and it got me to thinking so I thought I'd post my thoughts.

We were friends with someone that we cared about dearly. I lived next door to her over three years ago and Cherish's husband and the "friends" husband were best friends which brought them together as friends. Anyway, I had a falling out with this person and her family almost 4 years ago. I also stopped talking to Cherish because they were "their friends" and we couldn't talk to "their friends"...what a crock of bull! I drunk dialed Cherish almost two years ago (is that right C?) and we've been in touch ever since! (She lives in CA) She's a wonderful person and such a great friend. After what I went through I'm glad at least a part of the ending of one friendship created a great one with her.

That said, I can't say that I don't think about the other person often. It's hard because we're still in the same area so I run into her more often than not and our girls go to school together and are still best friends. They've known each other all their lives - even while in the womb! And that's great, I'm glad they can still see each other at school and they've been in the same class since kindergarten. I even tried to send her a message on her myspace asking if our girls could hang out and have sleep overs - she's still not over herself and was a total B! It just gets tough for me because I'm a human being and I do have a heart...so it hurts. But at the same time, Cherish mentioned in her blog that this person is an angry hateful person so why should I care right?

I have to admit that it still bothers me. I think I'm the type of person who gets mad easily and can be very stubborn - Cynthia can vouch for that - but I don't think that ending friendships is the answer. I'd rather make up with someone - even if it's two years later, Cyn - than have them be out of my lives forever. She was a huge part of my life and even though it's almost been 4 years, it still sucks. Not to say that I want that bitchyness back in my life - I just miss the good times I guess.
Trent tells me all the time to get over it...and I pretty much am. I have the MOST wonderful friends a girl could ask for. I've got my bestest bestest friend ever Cynthia who I've know over 20 years now. I've got Cort who's also my best friend that I can talk to like a girlfriend, I have Megan who's introduced me to some great people, I have Cherish even though she's so far away...I've got too many to name and I don't need a negative hateful spiteful angry person in my life. I am truely blessed and I love each and every one of my friends.

I guess the moral of this is I'm thankful for what I have. And if I ever get mad at any of you or you at me, I will apologize...eventually, if I'm wrong that is. I learned after the fight I had with Cynthia and we didn't talk for two years...I called her because my Mom was dying, that's it's not worth it. Talk it out and get it over with. Losing my Mom opened my eyes and I will never let something dumb get in the way of friendships. They're too precious.

This and that - the first week of June

Hi everyone!

So here's the first blog without pictures! I know, scary huh? Not much went on this past week but at the same time a ton went on!

Ann, Danny and Angelina moved into their house last weekend. We went over there last Sunday to see how things were coming along and also to have dinner. Boxes were everywhere and my poor sissy was tired. I went back by myself on Tuesday because she made one of my favorite dishes and I couldn't pass it up!! They'd accomplished a ton by then.

Wednesday Trent and I went out to dinner with the McClary's and had sushi. Dad came over to watch the girls and they had a great time with him. Logan woke up the next morning and the first thing out of her mouth was "I Love Papa". AWWW!!!

Then we went back to Ann's on Thursday for our "Family" dinner with Dad. Now that she's out of his house we want to make sure we see him at least once a week. Those of you that know our Dad, he can be a bit of a hermit!

Friday our neighbors invited us over for dinner but we really needed some downtime. Trust me, I would NEVER pass up a meal that I didn't have to cook, but I'd been going since Tuesday and just wanted to chill for a night.

And yesterday Ann and Danny had a garage sale so I took the girls over there to hang out while Trent worked. When he got off we went to Game Night with the Scott's and the girls stayed with their Ba Ann.

Today they all went swimming at Grammy and G-Dad's while I'm at work.

Well, I hope everyone is well and hanging in there with those OBSENE gas prices. It's a little overwhelming isn't it? I filled up the other day and it almost hit $100! It's very hard to stomach. Needless to say I drive as little as I possibly can these days!!

A day in Red Rock 5-31-08

After sitting around the house Saturday morning catching up on TIVO, Trent decided we should get off our big booties and take the girls to Red Rock. We packed up the cooler, grabbed some sandwiches at Port of Subs and headed out. It was a great day and it wasn't too hot. Living in Las Vegas you forget that there are gorgeous mountains surrounding us and we never take the time to enjoy it. We also got a little exercise which is always a plus!

We hiked on the Lost Creek Trail which is easy and good for kids. It's also called the Kid's Discovery trail. Logan did SO GOOD! She held my hand and walked the entire time and never complained. The only thing she said was that she likes butterflies, not bugs!

After we left there we drove 4 miles down the street to Spring Mountain Ranch. I'd never been there before and it had been years for Trent. They have a huge grass area with BBQ's and picnic tables, there's a house up there that is a museum now - Hugh Hefner was once an owner - and there's also a stage where they have shows under the stars. The next show out there is Beauty and the Beast so we'll be going back with the girls sometime in June. And right after leaving Spring Mountain Ranch there's Bonnie Springs. We didn't go there because we had to get Logan back for a nap, but that's our next stop. It looked like there was a lot of history and fun stuff there too...maybe living here isn't that bad!

SEX AND THE CITY!!!

Ten of us bought tickets for the 7:30 show at the Palms Friday night and boy were we glad we did! We ended up being part of only 18 regular tickets sold that night because the wife of a builder bought out the rest of the theater! We got lucky and the nice manager of the theater was great...she let us choose our seats and even gave us all a free movie ticket. We all met up at the Palms two hours before the show and had cosmos, even though they weren't in martini glassses, they still tasted wonderful! Then we mowed down on some popcorn and pizza in the show, and had shots ;) and watched the movie. It was great and I would see it again!

Cynthia, Linda and Hilda - Cynthia has a tendancy to rub off on people with her never serious picture face! Martini's in wine glasses - which actually made it so we had doubles, that was nice!
I'm holding a stupid letter from Amie's...hmmm, what do I call him? Anyway, it was a topic of conversation at the time. We need to find her a REAL man!

After the show Megan and I met her hubby Dave and his boss at Green Valley Ranch. We had drinks at Hanks and then headed down to the Whiskey Sky Bar to do a little dancing...well, they all danced, I drank! =0)

Oh, and I forgot to mention that we had the pleasure of seeing Hulk Hogan's ex Linda at the Palms with her new 19 year old boyfriend...what a shame. A shame that she was hanging with kids AND a shame that Miss Paparrazzi (me) didn't have my dang camera out! I coulda sold it to TMZ!!!

Thank goodness for great neighbors! Deanna invited us over for a BBQ on Sunday and after Saturday night, I was not up for cooking! And I got to bring over left overs from the party!

May's Big Birthday Bash!

May is a big birthday month so we thought we'd throw a party to help everyone celebrate!

Cynthia came over Friday night to help prepare some food with me and then came back Sat along with Megan and Amie to help set up and cook. As many of you know, I'm a bit of a control freak and I think I can do everything myself so I never ask for help or accept it for that matter. Well, I'm very glad that I accepted it this time. Things got done a lot faster and I felt a lot better! Thank you girls!! And thanks Tony Lamecker for giving the whole stereo system/speaker thing a try when the DJ cancelled. Sorry it didn't work out but we all had a good time anyway! We had food, drinks, shots, music and the UFC fight. I hope everyone had a great time! Thanks to all of my wonderful friends! Love ya!!!

My Birthday

I worked on my Birthday but it was actually a really nice day. I felt very loved! =)

I even got birthday wishes at the gym that morning!

I came into work and Jo Ann had gone all out decorating my desk. That really made my morning!
I had a cake on my desk from Kellee, Jo Ann brought cake and ice cream, Jacqueline brought Cupcakery, and lots of wine. ;) Oh and Megan bought me a small bottle of Gold Shlaugher(sp) telling me that I had to drink it that morning so I'd get rich! Nice try!

After work Trent had his family meet at his Dad's house for cake and swimming.

Kids Mix Event 5-17-08

I braved the heat and the crowd by myself yesterday morning and took the kids to an event that a radio station was doing for kids. Dora and Diego were there, The Hulk, Ironman...and there were games and bounce houses and all kinds of stuff going on. Trent had to work so I thought it would be a cool thing for the girls to do to get out of the house...

It was at Sunset Park so we walked by the ducks to say hi. Heather got bit by an ant posing for this picture. Sorry honey!
So we finally got in after standing in line for 25 minutes!! We headed straight for the face painting booth and waited there another 25 minutes without even moving so I decided we needed a drink and some food. We got food, sat down and ate, got ice cream, I got this yummy drink thing and went back to the face painting booth - the people in front of us weren't even in the front of the line yet and we had only been 5 people back if that! Ridiculous!
Heather's all red and she's sweating!! I felt so bad!
So they played one game where there was no line and we left. It was 100 degrees and we were melting. The lines were ALL too long and it didn't seem worth it. The girls did say they had fun though. We left there and went to Grammy and G-Dad's to swim! Oh, and I had little blisters on my shoulder from the sun! Gross!!!
