Trent and I were up at the crack of dawn Saturday to run the Race for the Cure. We met up with our team mates - The Pink Punks - around 7 and the race started at 8:15. We had a group of walkers and a group of runners. The walkers did the 1 mile fun walk and the runners did the 5k - 3 mile run. Trent and I were both runners and he did really good on his time. Out of our group, Tony came in first at 28 minutes I think, Trent at 29.15 (he beat Tony last year and Tony wasn't going to let him do it again this year!), Tabitha at 30 (you go girl!) and I finished in 42 which was better than last year considering I was working out harder last year than this...but whatever! It was for a good cause! Oh and Cynthia came in at 43 which isn't normal for her, she's in the 30 minute range but she'll get there again next year! And so will I! I had a blast even though I'm a little sick and had to blow my nose while running - then my nose burned from breathing out of it...and at the end I had a little coughing fit. I'm looking forward to next year, hopefully the course will stay the same as it's easier to run! Thanks to the people that donated - we know the economy isn't the greatest right now so we appreciate every little penny!
Here are some pics we took later that day...I didn't want to take the camera and have to hold it while running!
Angelina stayed the night so she'd be there for the girls after we left that morning. She's on the phone with her boyfriend - what's new...and she'd being a dork!
Frodo got all dolled up in some pig tails. I love that he lets me do that to him!
he he
Cynthia, Angelina's taking after you!
Aww, cousins forever!
My daughter and sometimes daughter more than niece at times!
My three girls.
We took Heather to Red Robin for being on the honor roll - and because she had a free kids meal for box tops - Logan had a free kids meal from the dentist...hey - if I can feed my kids for free...I'm on it! After dinner we came home to watch The Water Horse. Here's the family enjoying an exciting scene...dogs included! (Cynthia - if you haven't seen this movie, you guys need to watch it, the kid in it looks JUST LIKE KANE! when he was younger anyway)
Logan's facial expressions during some parts were so cute! She's so concentrating in this picture!
