And yeah, a hamster would be a good pet for the girls because there's not much maintenance. But I would get a regular teddy bear hamster, because the dwarf ones tend to bite a little bit. I'm trying to tame her from things I've read online... but it hasn't been going to my advantage quite yet! But yeah, we had the other kind growing up and I never remember them nipping at all.
